Judson Theatre Company will be holding auditions in Pinehurst, by appointment only, on Friday, February 10 for three roles in Agatha Christie’s AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. Non-union local actors with professional experience should send headshots and resumes no later than Wednesday, February 8 at noon to JudsonTheatre@gmail.com. Please indicate the role you’re interested in on your submission. Stipend paid for all roles. Rehearses March 9-22, performs March 23-26. Actors report to first rehearsal off-book. Rehearsals are afternoon and evening during the week, and morning and afternoon on weekends. These auditions are for local hire only: housing and transportation are not provided.

Available roles include:
FRED NARRACOTT (late 20s-mid-30s) The hearty, weather-worn boatman with a gruff demeanor who delivers supplies and guests to the island. English or Irish accent.

GENERAL MacKENZIE (60s) The eldest guest on Soldier Island is an upright, soldierly, retired World War I general with a tired, gentle face. He is proud, proper, and very set in his ways and often appears to be lost. He forms a touching attachment to Vera. Surprisingly sentimental, he is also guilt-ridden, almost welcoming death as he loses grip on reality. He is accused of sending his wife’s lover into battle so that he would be killed. English accent.

EDWARD ARMSTRONG (late 30s-late 40s) Middle-aged, good-looking, and popular with the London upper class, Armstrong is a surgeon accused of having killed a patient when he performed an operation on her while intoxicated. Gullible, fussy, and slightly timid, Armstrong often draws the suspicion of the other guests because of his medical knowledge. A recovering alcoholic, he has come to Soldier Island to escape the stress of his occupation. English accent.

Sides and audition time/location will be sent with appointment confirmation. Please bring a hard copy photo and resume to auditions. Please prepare to read sides with appropriate accent.

All roles other than those listed have been cast. Please do not submit for any roles other than those listed above. Now in our 6th year, Judson Theatre Company is Moore County’s only professional theatre. Recipient of the 2016 NCTC George A. Parides Professional Theatre Award.
