Auditions and Employment Inquiries
Judson Theatre Company holds auditions by appointment only for professional actors in New York and North Carolina. Watch industry trade publications and websites for audition notices, and local press including NCTC, SETC and NC Facebook audition groups for the North Carolina auditions (which are also by appointment only).
Designers, Stage Managers, Tech Personnel: Similarly, qualified theatre designers, stage managers and tech personnel should watch industry trade publications and websites for notices when we are seeking specific personnel. We are always eager to hear from qualified, local hire Sandhills area residents in these areas.
For actors local to the Sandhills area: JTC occasionally hires local actors with professional experience, and each local hire actor receives a per-show stipend. Housing and transportation are not provided for local hire actors, so local hires must have their own transportation and housing within daily commutable distance to Pinehurst. Before you submit your headshot, please be aware that we work on a professional theatre schedule and our rehearsal days are full workdays. Actors need afternoons and evenings free both during the week and on weekends during the rehearsal and performance period.
JTC does not have a literary department and we do not accept unsolicited scripts, nor are we doing readings or otherwise developing new plays at this time.
CONSULTATION SERVICES: JTC offers consultation services on new scripts/projects. We will read your script and provide a written document with constructive feedback from a Broadway professional: dramaturgical and dialogue suggestions as well as ideas to make your script more commercially viable and a path for further development.
