A.R. Gurney’s Pulitzer Prize-finalist play Love Letters comes to Judson Theatre Company in Pinehurst November 14-16 for three performances only!  The show stars PATRICK DUFFY (“Dallas”, “Step by Step”) and returning JTC favorite LINDA PURL (“The Office”, “Happy Days”).Purl previously appeared in JTC’s productions of Mrs. Mannerly (2024) and The Year of Magical Thinking (2023).

This epistolary romance about first loves and second chances is the story of Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, two young people from similar backgrounds who take very different paths in life. Despite leading lives which should not intersect, they can’t let go of each other throughout their 50-year friendship, which endures alongside their marriages and families with other people. If the title sounds familiar…maybe you saw Judson Theatre Company’s 2012 production–it was our very first show, and we’re so happy to be revisiting it.
