JUDSON THEATRE COMPANY EDUCATION PROGRAM

Judson Theatre Company’s multifaceted Education Program, founded in 2016, offers several ongoing educational initiatives.

Moore County high school students attend WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION

STUDENT PERFORMANCES:  For each production, up to 900 Moore County Schools high school students, from all three public high schools and all ethnic and economic demographics

–attend a performance of the show (for many it is their first time experiencing live professional theatre)

–receive the published script or book the play is based on (i.e. Twelve Angry Men, And Then There Were None, The Miracle Worker, Witness for the Prosecution)

–receive a professionally written study guide (funding permitting)

–engage in guided classroom study before attending the performance

–participate in a Q&A with the cast after the performance

Thanks to our donors, students receive books like these gorgeous dust-jacketed, hardcover first edition facsimiles of AND THEN THERE WERE NONE.

This collaboration between Judson Theatre Company and Moore County Schools brings literary classics with educational and cultural relevance to life for Moore County public school students. We make these student performances available at no cost to the MCS public high school students.

INTERNSHIPS: For serious-minded high school and college-age students considering a professional career in the arts, Judson Theatre Company is the bridge between their academic training and real-life professional work experience in all areas of theatre. Interns gain star-driven play credits that will remain on their theatrical resumes for years to come; references/letters of recommendation may also be available for exceptional interns. Internships involve a major time commitment. All interns receive a modest stipend upon successful completion of the internship.
